Public Health Project Committee

The Public Health Project Committee (PHPC) is a student organization dedicated to furthering the practice of public health on Brown University’s campus.

Each year, PHPC chooses a public health topic, such as mental health (2021-2022) or campus accessibility (2022-2023) to conduct projects on and host events about. In the past academic year, PHPC worked extensively with students from the Pathology to Power course to host an accessibility event at the School of Public Health. The committee also presented its findings at the Rhode Island Public Health Association research conference.

PHPC’s mission is to bring together students across campus to increase knowledge on the practice of public health, in addition to advocating for health equity and greater awareness of social determinants of health, both at Brown and in the greater Providence area.
