Students are encouraged to participate in existing student groups and to generate ideas for new initiatives that impact our entire community. Opportunities exist for both undergraduate and graduate students to be active leaders in co-curricular life at the School of Public Health.

Graduate Student Council (SPH-GSC)
The School of Public Health Graduate Student Council (SPH-GSC) serves an advisory and coordinator role, representing the general student body with sub-committees focused on academic, social, and community service issues and events.
SPH Student-led Organizations
These groups are run by SPH students, for SPH students.
BUJPH is Brown’s first undergraduate journal of public health, publishing articles written, edited, and reviewed solely by undergraduates at Brown University.
Disability Justice As Public Health aims to transform the status quo of public health, by centering the lived experiences of disabled, neurodiverse and chronically ill people through advocacy, education and mutual care.
The Public Health Consulting Club strives to provide students with professional development and networking opportunities for a career in healthcare consulting.
The SPH Pre-Health Organization is open to all students who plan to pursue a career as a healthcare provider after graduation.
The Public Health Project Committee (PHPC) is a student organization dedicated to furthering the practice of public health on Brown University’s campus.
The Brown Students for Latinos/Latinx in Public Health is open to all students who want to advocate and contribute towards addressing health issues among the Latino/Latinx community in the United States and internationally.
The Womxn in Public Health Organization is a student-led group formed in 2022 to bring womxn together and provide opportunities for community building, leadership training, and advocacy.

Brown’s Epsilon Iota Chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society is one of 120 chapters at CEPH-accredited schools and programs promoting public health and honoring achievement in the field.
The SPH DUG provides opportunities for undergraduates to network, engage, and serve as dynamic student leaders.
