Public Health Research Day (PHRD) is an annual conference hosted by the Brown University School of Public Health that highlights the research accomplishments of our students, trainees, and partners. It is our flagship event to celebrate National Public Health Week. This year's Public Health Research Day was held on April 4, 2023.
The 2023 National Public Health Week theme was "Centering and Celebrating Cultures in Health." 149 posters by students and trainees at all levels showcased the breadth of public health research being conducted at Brown. Along with our awards for outstanding undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral research posters, we offered a new award this year for the student research poster that demonstrated significant efforts to center cultures and communities. The winner of this award was determined by local community leaders and SPH staff who will serve as guest judges.
