Graduating Student Career Checklist

Prepare for your transition to postgraduate life with these simple career-focused steps.

  1. Take a Professional Headshot: Our DIY photo booth is located in the 3rd floor graduate lounge; all students are welcome to use it. You can also take a virtual headshot from anywhere.

  2. Set up Job Alerts: Our popular public health career portal is updated year round. Did you know that around half of the opportunities are geared toward alumni? Set up alerts and keep your future options open at brownpublichealthcareers.org.

  3. Update LinkedIn: Keep your profile up-to-date and stay connected with your classmates; check out our LinkedIn Resources page for recommendations and join our Alumni Networking and Careers group.

  4. Join Big Interview: You can use either @brown.edu or @alumni.brown.edu email addresses for premium access to Big Interview's AI interview and resume feedback: brownpublichealth.biginterview.com.

  5. Bookmark SPH's Alumni & Friends page: Your hub for resources, news, and connections with Brown’s worldwide public health alumni community.

  6. Activate Resources: Sign up for student-only resources before your @brown.edu is transitioned to an alumni account.
