Starting the Process

Prepare yourself for success as you navigate the search, application, and interview processes.

Creating and updating your application materials should be an ongoing, iterative process. We encourage you to start taking advantage of Brown's many career resources early in your academic journey, starting with the steps below!

  1. Explore and bookmark these websites:

  2. Activate resources at Brown:
    Sign up for student-only resources with your @brown.edu email address and/or Brown login credentials.
    • LinkedIn Learning
    • New York Times
    • Wall Street Journal
    • STAT+
  3. Prepare your portfolio early on:
    • Start working on updates to your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile
  4. Get ready for the interview process:
    • Big Interview: Use your @brown.edu email address for premium access to Big Interview's AI interview and resume feedback: brownpublichealth.biginterview.com
